Nationwide Platforms managing director Jeremy Fish is moving to Ardent Hire Solutions as chief executive.
Jeremy Fish joined Nationwide Platforms, the UK’s biggest powered access hire company, in January 2014 and is credited with having overseen operational and commercial improvement programmes, growing revenues and improving profitability.
Mr Fish previously spent nearly 10 years with Aggreko.
At Ardent he replaces Steve Corcoran, who resigned as chief executive in May 2016, having been instrumental in creating the company last year by leading a merger of One Call Hire and Fork Rent. Ardent described Mr Fish as “a proven business developer and an accomplished operations manager”.
He evidently leaves Nationwide on good terms.
Don Kenny, chief executive of Nationwide’s parent company Lavendon Group, said: “Jeremy has provided strong leadership in the UK developing high standards of customer service and operational excellence, the benefit of which can be seen in the strong UK revenue growth we reported at the half year. Our UK business is in very good shape and I am confident that our UK management team will continue to implement our business plan and make further progress in the coming months. The process to appoint Jeremy’s replacement has commenced and an announcement will be made in due course. In the meantime Jeremy is working through his notice period and will leave the group on the best of terms and we wish him well in his future endeavours.”
